Jesus called Herod an ‘Old Fox’. Herod was a murderer!
We are warned in the Word that the little foxes spoil. They spoil what we are working on, spoil what we have built, and spoil our peace. As we build strong, we are to guard against the little foxes that can interrupt and alter our course by allowing offence to rise in our relationships with each other.
The silly little things must not become hard issues between us. We have a very crafty enemy who is very subtle and will always seek to divide and conquer from within.
Love for each other will guard our hearts against every intrusion. God’s love is extravagant. If His extravagant love is within us then we can be extravagant in love to each other.
This should be our challenge - to display His enormous, extravagant love liberally to all, and in particular to our brothers and sisters in Christ. This will defeat the powers of hell that seek to intrude in seemingly innocuous ways.
After all this is a commandment - not a suggestion or an option…
John 15:12,13
“This is My commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
Grace and blessings to you.
